my story- I was at an event last week, and there was a speaker malfunction. The first thought of many was that there was a shooter in the building. Everyone was running, screaming, crying, children were left unattended and alone, people were fleeing for their lives. The cops arrived quickly, luckily, and confirmed it had been a false alarm. it is heart breaking that this is becoming the first thought in our culture. it was an interesting experience, but not in a nice way.
I felt like this story was in a way involving lots of connections, relevant to this quote.
